Re: When recording desktop, we need an indicator that Bandicam is recording

If it's full-screen, you don't want something on the screen IMO. You could use the FPS counter, it changes colour when recording. But again, that will show in the footage. You can toggle the FPS counter with shortcuts to make it hide, but for full sreen capture, not sure what you're after actually.

When choosing between 2 GPUs, the name is cut off

I've attached an image.

It's easy enough to figure out which card is doing the encoding by looking at task manager, but would be nice if we didn't have to do that :)

Re: Nvidia or AMD for capturing from capture card

Thanks for the reply!

I ended up using a RX 470 and the H264 VCE/VCN option. 60 FPS, CFR, VBR, 100% Quality, 120 Keyframe Interval and I'm getting good results :)

Nvidia or AMD for capturing from capture card

Hello everyone! I have been using Bandicam for ages and capturing through a capture card the footage from a second PC. So far I've been using the integrated Intel Graphics and QuickSync, but at higher resolutions (1920x1200) it is struggling. So I am considering switching to a Nvidia or AMD graphics...

Re: 30 vs 60 fps - Why it matters

I'm using XVid Coded, 60 fps, CBR, 100000 kbps, Key Interval 1. It's very "easy" on the system. FRAPS is much more demanding and often can't capture smooth 60 fps.

I do have a good processor though. Core i7 3770 with Nvidia GTX660.

Re: 30 vs 60 fps - Why it matters

The file size actually stays the same. It is based on the bit rate you see. Codecs actually become more efficient the more frames they have to work with as the changes from frame to frame are smaller. The other issue is that with YouTube there is no control over what device you're watching it on. Se...

Re: Epic bitrate 200.000+

Where do you change the container?

I use the XVid codec, keyframe 1 (very important), CBR 100000 and PCM for sound. The results are very good. The FPS in VLC shows up as 60.000200

30 vs 60 fps - Why it matters

Just something to help the discussions regarding 30 fps vs 60 fps. Many believe or want us to believe that there is no difference but there clearly is. I captured the Intro of F.E.A.R. at 30 and then at 60 fps, cut out a part that has a smooth scrolling section and put it together into a 60 fps clip...

Re: Problems with 60fps

Yeah... this was mentioned from another person earlier too. I guess there is still no solution for this issue. Maybe Bandicam knows more. It could also be the case, that that is just normal for that codec. I would try a different one (like Xvid) until that "bug" is fixed. Yes XVid works v...
