VBR Quicksync support a TargetKbps and MaxKbps value. MaxKbps isn't really required since the driver/SDK automatically set the MaxKbps based on the TargetKbps. In Bandicam there is a quality based adjustment. If I want 10000 Kbps I have no clue what quality value I have to use. Why is this not based...
I wonder if this is somehow Optimus related. I don't use Optimus and I'm a noob regarding Optimus. Can you disable Optimus and just try Quicksync through the virtual monitor trick?
For example Trine 2 improved from 35 fps to 40 fps with Quicksync 60 fps recording. Without recording 42 fps, Nvidia Shadowplay runs with 39 fps while recording.
Without proper infos such as driver version, OS version, Intel IGP model etc. there is nothing I could write. One question, is Quicksync properly connected/enabled? You can test it with Handbrake for example. Load a video and look in the scan log what is written there. A properly enabled Quicksync l...
This trick works. However it is recommended to move the second monitor to a corner because the mouse disappears when scrolling to the monitor edge which can be annoying.
Overall, we've improved the recording performance. Is it NVIFR/NVFBC related? I assume it is. We don't have a plan at the moment. We will consider it in the future. This is what I mean, Intels plans to add AAC encode/decode for Media SDK sometime in 2014. http://abload.de/img/aac9hb2i.png Not sure ...
I have upgraded to 1.9.2 and have several questions. Despite that I use Windows 7 which doesn't support enhanced capture my recording performance with Quicksync is much better than before. Is that because I use Nvidia for gaming? Why enhanced capture doesn't work with Windows 7? For Quicksync when w...
Afterburner recently added prerecord to RAM option and NvIFR as test version which seems to lower the overhead while recording drastically. NvIFR is used in Shadowplay, should work on any Kepler with NVENC and according to Unwinder it can speed up any video compression mode like Quicksync or uncompr...
CUDA isn't high quality and much more demanding than Quicksync for example. Uncompressed would give him the best quality. Better tradeoff would be Quicksync but because of the TU7+main recording quality is even worse than CUDA slighty at the same bitrate.
It is the same indeed. What happend when I recorded over the Bandicam GUI the game stopped running properly. Bandicam records with a pretty low overhead nevertheless using Quicksync. Unfortunately Quicksync quality is extremely bad compared to Afterburner because of the TU7 and Baseline nonsense. 6 ...
I run a game in window mode and noticed that recording over Bandicam GUI (target record) gave me 3 fps better fps than recording using the hotkey. Is this difference expected? The problem is that when I run the game in full-screen I have to use the hotkey for recording and can't use the Bandicam GUI...
Just tested again in Afterburner, no performance difference between TU7-TU2 recording. TU1 was 2 fps slower. Difference between TU2 and TU1 is trellis quantization enabled in TU1 which can be helpful for a higher bitrate encoding. Maybe it requires more CPU or system memory. That just shows how much...
We use Target Usage 7 to increase the recording speed. You don't increase the recording speed but the encoding speed. Important for a game recording is the lowest CPU load while recording as possible, TU7 doesn't improve in that matter. 1080p @60 fps is no challenge for Quicksync, there is no need ...
I evaluated some game recording programs with Quicksync support recently. Bandicam and Mirillis Action produced the best (fastest) results. Some things I want to mention. I can choose between MPEG-1 L2 and PCM as Audio Codec. MPEG-1 L2 appears to be CPU heavier resulting in a 2-3 fps drop while reco...
