Thank you. I won't be doing that because it will disable UAC for everything, as far as I can see. However, I have found that once I've opened Bandicam the UAC does not interfere with its operation (I was worried that it might prevent auto-stop/restart recording) so I'll leave it enabled :) Pity that...

Thank you for responding.

I've done a work-around with a separate 'clock' superimposed on the screen, so that Bandicam includes it in the screen-capture area. Am rather pleased with myself ;-)

Having worked that out, I've bought a Bandicam licence and look forward to developments.

I use stop/restart with different screen-capture software and find only a very few seconds missing. The only problem I get is very occasional runtime errors, when the program seems to trip over itself during the process.
