Need explaination of a couple new settings

Mon Jan 07, 2013 12:54 pm

After having read through all the FAQ and Tutorials on this site, learning as much as I can about Bandicam, I'd like a little more detailed explanation of what a couple new settings do when selected/unselected, as these might help in my capture tests. :?

1) General tab -> Options Advanced -> General tab - Output: "Enable write caching on the disk"

2) Video tab -> Record Settings -> Options tab - For DirectX/OpenGL Windows: "Skip recording while frame is not updated"

Thanks.

Hi,
1) General tab -> Options Advanced -> General tab - Output: "Enable write caching on the disk"
- If you check this option, Bandicam caches the data while recording.
- If you uncheck this option, Bandicam saves the data directly while recording

The previous version of Bandicam uses a cache, but we realize that the cache is unnecessary.
So, Bandicam 1.8.5 doesn't use the cache as default

2) Video tab -> Record Settings -> Options tab - For DirectX/OpenGL Windows: "Skip recording while frame is not updated"
- If this option is checked, Bandicam will automatically stop the recording when the video stops playing.
- If this option is un-checked, Bandicam doesn’t record when a frame is not updated.

Thanks for clarifying that.
