why does the fps drop while bandicam is recording

the 3d game is around 30 fps in high performance mode, and when bandicam starts to record, the fps drops to 10.
then I try to set the game in low performance mode, and the fps is 60, but when bandicam starts to record, the fps drops to 10 also.
I uncheck "set fps limit"....
my computer is laptop, windows 7, i7, 2.3GHz, 8GB RAM, 577GB free hard disk, 64 bit, GT 640M LE

That is a very low end GFX card. The CPU isn't a whole lot better either.
Recording with screen capture software asks quite some resources.
If you really want to record, you might want to consider getting a PC that can actually run it fine.
