Bandicam built-in Benchmark Test?

Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:37 am

Hello,
While researching on getting better performance from capturing game footage, I just learned that competitive programs like DxTory and Fraps have a built-in Benchmarking function to help with testing your harddrive(s) read/write speeds. Will Bandicam develop a similar function in a future release. That would be a great utility to have.

Thanks.

Hi,

We don't have a plan for the Benchmarking function at the moment.
We will consider it in the future.

Thank you for suggesting.

P.S.
Do you really need the Benchmarking function?
You can see the green/red FPS numbers. Isn't it enough?

I agree, if you need to benchmark your drives, why not download free, open-source, dedicated software to do just that?

I've never needed to benchmark a drive before, because I'm only just now learning about it from a "video game capture" POV. I just happened to see other programs have that function built in, so I figured it must be useful, otherwise why bother including it. I did a quick search for other free, open-source, dedicated benchmark software so I know they exist - if I need them. Otherwise, it was just a feature I thought Bandicam could introduce, seeing how others seem to have it. Thanks for considering my suggestion.
