Low audio in recorded video

Thu Apr 04, 2013 5:46 pm

I've checked all over the internet and googled as much as I could. I've always had this problem with Bandicam compared to Fraps where the sound would be extremely low. I would be forced to put the volume on programs to extremely high levels (ear shattering levels on my headphones) just to get it audible in the actual recorded file.

I tried out FRAPS just to see if the problem persisted there and the audio was fine on the recorded file via FRAPS. I obviously prefer Bandicam to record with because it's less of a hassle but the problem is this low sound volume in recorded videos. I have my stereo settings to full and have it set as the default. I've tried switching to PCM in the Bandicam settings and have tried switching between Win7 Sound and Primary Sound Capture Device as well.

A solution to this persistent problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

1. It could be a problem with settings. Please check the FAQ below:
http://www.bandicam.com/faqs/no_sound_r ... /#windows7

2. It could be a problem with codec.
- Please try VLC media player.
- You may send a short video clip to bandicam@bandisoft.com

I already did those settings, obviously since I already stated that in my original message. I highly doubt it's m codecs. I have K Lite Codec Pack installed, I'm not going to uninstall a codec pack I've relied on for years.

I've tried playing the video on both MPC and VLC, same thing. It isn't the player, because when I upload it to youtube it's also low. Please stop responding to people's questions with generic copy and paste responses. Thank you.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. The in-game sound is really low, it has this low audio waves while the mic audio wave is really fine.

Do you use Skype or a chatting program while you're playing?
If you do, please check "Do nothing" under the Communications tab on Windows.
