Black screen in recorded videos

Sat Jan 04, 2014 12:28 am

Hi everyone,

Since reinstalling Bandicam, I am experiencing black screen in recorded videos, only with cursor visible. If I choose "Target: Rectangle on screen" option, it would capture the footage, however it does not record properly while "DirectX/OpenGL window" is selected. Tried opening captured videos with VLC, however, no luck.

Any suggestions?

Just to be sure are you trying to record a game?

I'm sure about it, in the window right to the "Target" button it showed the hooked client's executable. Either the client was in windowed mode, or full screen, it didn't make a difference.

Hello!

What is your OS?
What is your recording target?
Did you start Bandicam before the recording target programs?
Did you download/install the latest version of Bandicam from http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/?

* Some solutions

1. Please re-install your 'video card driver' and 'DirectX'

2. If you still have the problem, send a short video file at bandicam@bandisoft.com
You may send the video file through the storage service below:
Dropbox (2GB~): http://www.dropbox.com/

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I'm running Windows 7 SP1 x64 OS.
Recording target: l2.exe (dx9) - 1920x1003
I started Bandicam before launching the client I want to record footage from.
My Bandicam is 1.9.2.455, latest from the website.

I reinstalled the video drivers, however, no luck. Bandicam settings: Video: Motion JPEG Full size 30 fps 80q
Here is a video uploaded on Dropbox:

Disappeared cursor indicates right click in-game.

Hello!

We've checked your video, but we have no idea how you can fix this issue.
I reinstalled the video drivers,
=> Did you download the latest graphics card driver?
=> Please download/install the latest graphics card driver, and try it again.

If you still have the problem, please start the game in windowed mode, and use 'Rectangle on a screen' mode of Bandicam.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.
My notebook is HP4530s and the only drivers fit for my notebook is the ones HP released most recently (which is 2011).

About Windowed mode: I'm playing my game in windowed mode and there are frames visible by default if I record by setting a rectangle around the screen, so every time I start PC I need to resize it a bit. Also, using "Rectangle on a screen" option there is noticable frame rate drop compared to previous installed version of Bandicam (1.8.9 something).
One thing I would like to ask, could you provide me a previous version of Bandicam, to see if it fixes my issue?

Regards
