My best settings for recording video tutorials

Tue Jan 07, 2014 8:53 pm

Hi all!

Have been using Bandicam for quite some time and I use it to make video tutorials for YT and for work.

I tried many settings and the recommendations from Bandicam for video editing are perfect (Use Motion JPEG and PCM for audio).

For Quality I recommend using 90 as with 80 you can see the typical JPEG compression artifacts. Don't use 100 as this will triple - quadruple your file sise. Make sure you turn on the mouse highlight and the click animations. They help my viewers a lot :)

I use Cyberlink Power Director to edit my videos and with these settings I have produced many many videos without every having any issues.

Now I did try CUDA on my GTX660. With key frames set to 1, the file size was very similar to Motion JPEG and so at this point I don't feel the need to switch and stick with what I know works well :)
