FPS show/hide hotkey?

Is there no way to toggle the FPS overlay? The overlay hotkey cycles between different corners on the screen, so I have to press it 5 or 6 times to hide the display. It would be nice to either have a hotkey to toggle the overlay, or to change the overlay radio buttons to check boxes so the hotkey only moves the display to the selected corners before being disabled.

what if you start recording with FPS on the right-bottom corner and disable it by clicking on the FPS key once?
you maybe know that the FPS are not shown in the video so you don´t have to disable it, except you have to see something behind the FPS.

The reason I was asking is because sometimes I like to enable it for a short period of time to check the performance, but I don't like leaving it on because it's distracting

I´m sorry but then you have to click four times to disable it everytime you enable it :C
