Can't record game sound.

Sun Oct 02, 2011 7:08 am

It's recording my microphone, but not the game sounds. I've tried everything, and yes I have my headphones as the default device in Windows sound. I have a headset, but it used to work fine. One day it just stopped, and I'm not sure why. All I have is Primary sound device, the secondary is disabled. I've tried a combination of both with no avail.

Thanks for any help.

Okay, I just downgraded Bandicam to 1.6.1.113, an old install I had from when I bought it, and this version works fine... The new one however, does not. Any idea why?

Sigh, seems like that only worked once, for some reason... It's now recording only mic, again. I have not changed any settings. I reinstalled and it's still recording only mic again.

Hello,

If you use Windows XP, check the Stereo Mix device.

If you use Windows 7/Vista, set the Speakers as default device

As stated in the original post, I already did that.
I use Windows 7.

I think you only set Microphone in Primary Sound Device.

To record computer sound in Windows 7, set "Win7 Sound (WASAPI)" in Primary sound Device (and "Microphone" in secondary Sound Device.

Hi I'm also having the same problem, Im using Windows 7, i set to record from Win 7 sound (WASAPI) but it still doesn't work, I hear sound at the beginning, but it sounds like its been compressed right at the start, like all of my game sound is played in the first 4-5seconds of the video?

5) Select "Disable" in Secondary Sound Device
=> Record again, and tell me your results.

Best Regards,
