Uploading to YouTube throws out a format error

Thu Jun 19, 2014 12:50 pm

I am capturing video using Bandicam 2.0.638 using Intel Quick Sync video H.264 encoding and MPEG-1 L2 audio encoding. During the upload, Youtube will display the following error messages:
We did not recognize the video format for this file, but we will go ahead and try processing it anyway. See this article on recommended formats for more information.

We did not recognize the audio format for this file, but we will try to process it anyway. See this article on recommended formats for more information.
The message points to this page: https://support.google.com/youtube/bin/ ... 5744&hl=en

The video eventually finishes uploading and it seems to play back fine from YouTube. According to YouTube's documentation, the following settings are preferred for video capture:
Container: .mp4

No Edit Lists (or you may lose AV sync)
moov atom at the front of the file (Fast Start)

Audio Codec: AAC-LC

Channels: Stereo or Stereo + 5.1
Sample rate 96khz or 48 khz

Video Codec: H.264

Progressive scan (no interlacing)
High Profile
2 consecutive B frames
Closed GOP. GOP of half the frame rate.
CABAC
Variable bitrate. No bitrate limit required, though we offer recommended bit rates below for reference
Color Space: 4.2.0
Unfortunately, there is no way to configure Bandicam to record with the recommended audio settings, nor can I confirm the correct video settings for the Intel Quick Sync Video or other GPU-based encoding. Can these options be included in a future version of Bandicam?

This message means absolutely nothing and is actually a bug.
Youtube supports these containers:
  • MOV
  • MPEG4
  • AVI
  • WMV
  • MPEGPS
  • FLV
  • 3GPP
  • WebM
And all popular codecs such as X264, Xvid, etc.
It's been working for years and only now this message pops up. It does not affect the quality of your video.
The only difference is that the video processing will start only after the video is uploaded completely.
