Selecting GPU for H.264 Codec

Tue Mar 17, 2015 12:45 pm

Hello,

I am currently using a 660ti GPU and will soon upgrade to a 750ti. I noticed that you can select a GPU device in the H.264 Codec so can I use the 660ti solely for video capture? And will doing so help with any framerate slowdown I would see as not using a GPU just for video capture?

Thank you.

Hello!

You can choose the GPU device for recording like below:
Select the "H.264 (NVIDIA NVENC)" video codec -> click the "..." button -> Select "660ti" at the GPU device (No. 3).

Slightly irrelevant to the topic, but... why would you "upgrade" to a weaker card?
