Big file sizes.

Wed Mar 25, 2015 11:22 am

I have used bandicam for awhile now and I love it, but I am now randomly experiencing a problem with file sizes. I recorded 1 30 minute video and it rendered out 23+ gb. That does not seem like the bandicam I know. I have been having to send this one video through handbreak 5 times just to get it below 2 gb. At the end there will be a picture of my settings. Thank you for your time!

Please remember I want to keep the quality as good as possible!

Here is what I use:

It may not be the absolute best, but for its destination, it is great. I have the same resolution as you. I recorded a video 1:11:48 long (hh:mm:ss) and took 28.3 GB
(28.3 gigabytes) / (4308 seconds) =
6.56917363 MBps

I can't use AVI because sonyvegas refuses to work with it no matter what I do. Idk if I want to switch from AMD APP because on bandicams website it says it is the best. I think I just have my keframe interval set too high but I just need to wait for a response but I am going to go try this out(without avi). Thanks!

I use Vegas and it works happily with them. In fact, I'm in the process of editing two different videos in AVI format.

If I use AVI files sony vegas gets really laggy and buggy... I have no idea what the problem is though. It use to not work at all and then I installed a codec to my computer and then it somewhat worked.

Did you use the Combine-Community Codec Pack (CCCP)? The webpage is here:

What are your computer's specs?

Well I'm stumped. Your computer is a lot better than mine:
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: AMD R7 250E
RAM: 8 GB
MB: MSI 970A-G43
OS: Windows 7

I'll let someone more advanced than me take over now.

Hello!
I recorded 1 30 minute video and it rendered out 23+ gb.
If your recording target moves a lot, it can be possible.

If you change the FPS from 60 to 30, you will get much smaller videos (less than 20GB.)
If you reduce the video quality from 100 to 80, you will get much smaller videos (16GB or so.)
