Sound Recording Problems

Thu Nov 24, 2011 7:05 pm

I have been using Bandicam for a really long time now, up until last week it stopped recording sound. I have tried the trouble shooting tutorial and it still doesn't seem to work. It will either record just my mic, or record game sound but no one on vent can hear me. I have used bandicam while running ventrillo, but it now people can't hear me when I try to speak on their. It could be just a simple mistake on settings for bandicam. Here are a couple screen shots of how I have it set up.

Problems: Can't record sound, if sound is recorded its just my microphone. Or if I move it again, you can hear game sound, but no one on ventrillo can hear me when I try to speak. I do use a headset, its the same one I have used since I have been using bandicam. Mic in it does work, since I can speak through it when bandicam isn't on. I used to be able to record game sound through my headset headphones, and just be able to speak while I'm playing but now it doesn't work.

Hello,

1. Select the 'Speakers', and then click the "Set as Default Device" menu.

2. If you still can't record sounds with "Win7/Vista Sound (WASAPI)", Try "Stereo Mix" device.

Yes I tried that already. I'm using a headset, so recording from my speakers isn't something I want to do. If I set it as speakers, it wont record the sound, since its coming from my headset. Yes, this is the same headset I've used in the past to record audio. I really don't want to go back to fraps, since this program makes me lag less while I play.

Headsets are also categorised as speakers in the control panel if that's the issue?

1. Can you record computer sound?

2. Can you record your voice?

3. Please send your screenshot of "Recording settings of Bandicam" like below

4. It can be a codec/media player problem. Please send your video at bandicam@bandisoft.com

Hello,

1. Check "Two Sound Mixing" option of Bandicam

2. Disable the USB Audio (Speakers) and use "Realtek High Definition Audio (Speakers)"
