Trying bandicam on iRacing

Sat Nov 26, 2011 8:35 am

I have a question about using this. I tried recording a few laps on iRacing. Saved it opened the folder and what is supposed to have been like 4 minutes of lap times, was only 4 seconds. Is there anything I am doing wrong. If I can get away from using Craps I would definintely purchase Bandicam and post the recommendation to the forum thread of replays and videos. Thank you for your time.

make sure that under "Generals" tab, "Auto complete recording" is disabled

asides from that, I'm not sure what it could be

Hello,

We have failed to test the iRacing game because we couldn't get/start the game.

iRacing has several scenes like 'game loading -> driving -> game loading -> driving...'
When the scene changes, the DirectX will be changed too.
To avoid this, use the Rectangle on a screen capture mode of Bandicam: http://www.bandicam.com/product/how_to_ ... op_screen/

If we get the iRacing game again, we will test it one more time.

I have tried it on bothe the retangle and also open gl, and like I said, it records perfectly, no stuttering. But when it opens in Windows Media player or Sony Vegas 7 to edit, a 22 second lap turns into a 2.5 second clip. What ever kind of info you may need to test, I will be than happy to help. With the new graphics iRacing came out with, Fraps can't handle it but thus far Bandicam can.

Hello walt901,

If you have a problem with DirecX/OpenGL mode, it can be the Bandicam problem.
However, if you have a problem with Rectangle mode, it may not be the Bandicam problem.

1. Try VLC media player
Your problem can be a codec problem. Try VLC Media Player
- http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

2. Change the Bandicam codec
If you want to edit the video with Sony Vegas, you have to change the codec of Bandicam
See http://www.bandicam.com/faqs/how_to_edi ... ing_video/

3. Send your video file
If you still can't solve the problem, send your video file at bandicam@bandisoft.com
You may send the video file through the storage service below:
- Dropbox (2GB~): http://www.dropbox.com/
- The free account can upload up to 2GB or higher. (Files uploaded to Dropbox via the desktop application have no file size limit.)
