Avi files not showing sound in sony vegas

Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:27 pm

I realise this isn't the Sony Vegas forums, but I need help.
For some reason when i import the Avi file that i've recorded into Sony Vegas it doesn't read the sound, is there another format that I am able to convert it to, to be able to have both the Mic and the game sounds together.
When I convert the Avi to Mp4 it only plays the Game sounds, not the Mic, i'm wondering what the problem is?

Make sure to record in Stereo, and not multichannel

Hello,

To edit the recorded video file with Sony Vegas, you have to choose "PCM" codec of Bandicam

Ok i know how to record for Sony Vegas now, thanks, but i want to convert my video, which has 2 channels to only have 1 channel, how do I do that?
I cannot delete this video, and i cannot redo this video, I need to have both the audios, even if i have to strip them out individually then save the audios.

Did you try to convert your video (with a free video converter like FormatFactory) in a simple MP3 audio?

Simply convert your video into an MP3 file and import both files in Sony Vegas.

Try Adobe Premiere.
It supports MPEG1 audio, so you can convert 2 channels to 1 channel.
(But, I haven't tried it yet. I am not sure it will work or not)

I have tried converting it into a Mp3 format, but it only converts one of the two channels.
And I don't have a 64-bit operating system so I cant use adobe premiere.
