disabling other sounds?

Thu Dec 01, 2011 9:52 am

I just have 1 problem that I havent figured out yet from the faq.

So when I record my videos I usually or always use some sort of audio source like teamspeak, ventrilo, skype on the sideline, my question is;

is it possible to disable all sounds from those programs when recording? the thing is I want to be able to somehow cut the speaking from the videos while recording, so that the game sound is the only audio recorded.
I know the default version of bandicam disables your mic, but not for others.

i short; I wanna talk over teamspeak while recording and gaming, but when playing the video after I only want to hear game sound.

-regards

This is not possible in this, or any recorder

Mic output from others is considered by windows as regular speaker audio, Windows cannot tell the difference between That and windows audio because Windows considers it all the same.

you are out of luck if you intend to play with voice chatt, and not have the chatt in the video. sorry

Hello,

You can't disable all sounds... It's impossible in Windows.
However, you can separate the Windows Sounds and Microphone Sound
Image
=> No2: Choose "Win7 Sound or somethings" in Primary
=> No3: Choose "Microphone" in Secondary
=> No4: Uncheck "Two Sound Mixing"

If you record the video like the above, you can have 2 separate sounds.

When you play the video in Windows Media Player, the 2 sounds will be played as 1 sound.
However, some media player (like GOM Player) can choose the sound channel.

- GOM Player: Menu => Audio => Select Stream => Stream 01/02
=> If you choose "Stream 01", you can hear only gameplay sound (=All computer sounds without Microphone sound)
=> If you choose "Stream 02", you can hear only microphone sound

P.S. To edit this 2 audio video in Sony Vegas, you have to choose PCM codec of Bandicam

Thx for the fast and thorough replies.

I tried to play around with your suggestion and even though I didnt get a fix solution, at least now I can take it from here.
it seems the last solution would be to run my voice chat through an external system besides my recording computer

as long as its a 3rd party voice chatt client and not a client within the game itself ;)
