Microphone is too mute?

I have recorded almost an hour of gameplay footages on Rainbow Six Siege. When I went up to edit it, I realized how low the mic is, given that it is 90% on the sound settings. It is just so low that even audacity cannot fix it. I tried, and it just makes the sound so muddy.

Hello!

Increase your microphone volume, and try it again.

It's already at 90%, I never had this problem before.

Thanks. Anyway, I tried the latest again and it worked now with a different game. Rainbow Six Siege seems to make the mic on my recordings mute for some reason.

If the game has a voice chatting feature, Windows is able to reduce your microphone volume.

Check "Do nothing" under the "Communications" tab in Windows.

I already did that though and I also disabled the use of voice chat in the game and uplay. :/
