YV12 Codec and Sony Vegas / 2 Sound input stutters video

Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:06 pm

1. Sony Vegas fails to load video file, when I set the video codec to YV12.
Audio Codec is selected as PCM of course..
YV12 is important codec for me as it is sometimes the best option for recording.(Lower CPU load than MPEG-1 and save HDD space compared to RGB right..?)

Can I expect a fix for this or am I missing something.
IIRC, there was no compatibility problem with SonyVegas in older version..

2. When I record a video with Screen-area-capture mode MEPG-1 + 2 sound input devices selected in audio menu(One is VIA HD Speaker, and the other one is C-Media MicroPohone), the output video gets full of stutters with some sound delay after several minutes (I feel no stutter in game, while recording..)
If I disable 2nd audio input, the stutter never occurs.

Is this well known problem?

Hello,

1. YV12 is not match with Sony Vegas.
We recommend "Motion JPEG" or "RGB24" codec

2. Please check the video size. It can be a media player's lag problem of your PC.
=> If you think the lag is related with Bandicam, please send your video file at bandicam@bandisoft.com
You may send the video file through the storage service below:
- Dropbox (2GB~): http://www.dropbox.com/
- The free account can upload up to 2GB or higher. (Files uploaded to Dropbox via the desktop application have no file size limit.)

1. I'll live with Mpeg1 then

2. looks like it just didnt have enough bitrates to record a video and 2 other audio sources with 20000kbps.

Messing around with settings menu, I noticed I can give more bitrates to the video by manually putting numbers in the white box.
I gave it like 50000kbps and I get no stutter now.
