Mic Volume very low

Hi, I have been having a problem where the volume of the microphone recording is very low. Currently to fix it I have to boost the volume by 15 dB when editing videos, but preferably I would like to have it be louder to start with.

I have checked the properties tab of my mic and it was set to 100% (the max) and have tried playing around with the Realtek audio settings, but so far I can't find a solution that works.

This problem occurs with two different headsets (Creative Fatality (±9 years old) and 2.4G Wireless Headset (2 months old)) and a standalone microphone (no brand name, second hand) and they all require roughly the same amount of audio boosting, so I am assuming that the issue is software related, not hardware.

I record audio with the following settings:
  • Codec: PCM
    Channels: mono
    Frequency: 48kHz
Extra: I do not use Two Sound Mixing
Mic specs of normally used headset:
  • Sensitivity: -35dB
    Direction: Omni directional
    Frequency response: 100Hz-8kHz
Other info (most likely not relevant):
  • OS: Win10 x64
    Bandicam version: 2.4.2.905
Primary Sound Device: Win10 Sound (WASAPI)
Secondary Sound Device: Microphone (2.4G Wireless Headset)
    Realtek Driver Version: 10.0.10586.0
Audio card: Onboard Audio Chipset - Asus Crosshair V Formula
Also, I play (and record) a lot of a game called Project Reality (war-sim) where you communicate with other players. They don't seem to have trouble hearing me (concerning volume)

Hope I have stated the problem clearly and provided the necessary info. If anything is missing, just ask and I'll provide it.

Hope that one of you is able to help me out.

Thanks in advance!

I still have the same problem with my Beringer C-1U (usb mic.)
I've made different test and found no solution, the one only one is to boost volume in post-production :\

Hello!

Bandicam doesn't increase/decrease the microphone volume.
It just records the original microphone volume.

Do you have the problem with Fraps?
Could you send a short video clip to bandicam@bandisoft.com?

In fact Bandicam does decrease the microphone volume...

Recordings with Audacity are always a lot louder than with Bandicam. I constantly need to add ~ +5dB in post production. Which I do not need to do for audio recorded with Audacity.

Hello,

Same problem.. Can you insert a volume control of Windows and Microphone in bandicam? Like 60% mic and 40% windows?

Thank's.

Hello!

Could you please try 'Sound Recorder' of Windows?
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... d-recorder

Bandicam just records the original volume of Windows like 'Sound Recorder' of Windows.
If the volume of the video you recorded through 'Sound Recorder' is the same as Bandicam, it's not a problem of Bandicam.

It's not the problem... The problem is the game volume is too high on record, we can't hear the microphone sound correctly while mounting the microphone boost in windows. The ratio 100/100 micro/windows sounds is not good.

We've forwarded this issue to the development team.

Thank you for suggesting it.

When they are going to modify this, please remind them about my request from some weeks ago to add the option to record microphone as MONO. Thank you :)
