With Bandicam, I'm able to record videos very well without problems however when recording 'OpenGL' programs using the 'Game Recording Mode' brings poor performance while recording while 'DirectX' or 'D3D' programs are very smooth and have no problems while recording.
I've been using Bandicam for almost 2 years now, using the Evaluation Version (which is totally fine by me) and the performance drop occurs on ALL OpenGL games, all DirectX/D3D games record just fine.
Tested Games (recorded on Game Recording Mode):
-Doom 3 (OpenGL, major FPS drop while recording)
-Quake 4 (OpenGL, major FPS drop while recording)
-Minecraft (OpenGL, major FPS drop while recording)
-Killing Floor (OpenGL, major FPS drop while recording)
-Counter-Strike 2D (OpenGL, major FPS drop while recording)
-Killing Floor (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-Warcraft III (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-GTA: San Andreas (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-Need for Speed: Carbon (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-Battlefield 2 (DirectX, smooth while recording)
-Fallout 3 (DirectX, smooth while recording)
The framerate issue is solved if I'm using the 'Screen Recording Mode' option instead but it's a problem on games running on Fullscreen thus leading me to use the 'Game Recording Mode' option instead. Any solutions possible to fix the problem? Big thanks in advance.
