SUGGESTION: Webcam record separate instead of chroma key

Mon Apr 25, 2016 8:38 pm

Hi!

I know that adding a chroma key function to the facecam might be hard as Bandicam don't have a "preview workspace"-thingy to change the looks and the outcome of the video in, thus my idea might work better.

What about adding a function in Bandicam to record and save the facecam as a separate file similar to what we can do with audio today?

This way we won't need fire up any additionaly software to record webcam and we won't need to sync it (during editing) as Bandicam would take care of that, just as it does with the audio.

Then, during editing, we could add the facecam ourselfes were and when we want to, move it around as we want to, chroma key the cam and all that.

What do you think, is this something that could work?

Cheers!
/Ducky

Hello!

Please try Bandicam 3.1.0 which has been released today.
This new version allows you to save a webcam video and game/screen video separately into two video files.

That is.... AWESOME! Just what I searched for! You know what? A year or so ago I made a video complaining that the Ultimate Recorder don't exist. But I think that you might just have made it, as the first ever none-capturecard required program to include all the most wanted features a YouTube-Gamer needs.

For other people trying this feature, the test showed the following:

I noticed that the cam is locked to 30 FPS, might be the webcam hardware though.
Also noticed that Bandicam starts recording the webcam 1-2 seconds before it records gameplay so cut that out and it'll be synched.

Thanks again Bandicam, you just made it to No 1. :D

Hi,
Also noticed that Bandicam starts recording the webcam 1-2 seconds before it records gameplay so cut that out and it'll be synched.
We will try to find a solution to minimize this issue in the next version of Bandicam.

We also recommend you to uncheck the "Skip recording while frame is not updated" option while you're recording a microphone or webcam overlay. (We will try to find a better solution in the future.)
