Bandicam crashes since Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Hi,

since I installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Bandicam crashes everytime I try to record my Desktop.

My company purchesed this software a few days before for my workstation. At first it worked great. But since that update, it always crashes when I click on the "REC"-Button or press F12.

I already tried many settings, I found here in the forum, like
- disabling sound record
- AVI / MP4
- varios codecs
- disabling WIndows Store Apps Hook
- disabling "advanced Record Mode" (i don't know how it is called in the english version, I use the german translation)

and i also tried using older versions.
Nothing seems to help.

I need to record my desktop for my current project at work. :-/

Hello peffe,

Uninstall Bandicam and download the latest version of Bandicam from https://www.bandicam.com/downloads/ and choose the "H264 (CPU)" video codec and try it again.

If you still have the problem, uninstall your graphics card driver and download the latest graphics card driver.
(You have to uninstall your graphics card driver, and then download the latest graphics card driver.)

Please let us know your result.

Thank you.

Hey,
thank you for the reply.

I uninstalled Bandicam and my graphics card driver (AMD Crimson) completely, then restarted the computer, installed the latest graphics card driver and the latest version of bandicam. "H264 (CPU)" was already set.

Did not help. :-(

Can you take a screenshot and save the captured image file as .JPG?

If you can't take a screenshot, it might be a problem with a copy-protection program.
Uninstall the copy-protection program or go to Windows Task Manager, and end the suspicious programs.

You may also try some old versions of Bandicam from http://www.filehorse.com/download-bandi ... -versions/

I am not able to take a screenshot with Bandicam but the program does not crash when i try. But i can take screenshots by pressing the print key.

I can not find any copy-protection program in my task manager or any setting in windows. I have ended all processes I am able to in the task mananger and it does not help.

i am only using windows defender and smart screen but it does not even work when i deactivate them.

i already tried older versions of Bandicam. :-/

do you know if there is any setting in windows or in AMD Drivers which protects the screen?

Hi peffe,

I don't see why ending a copy protection software would help, as those shouldn't be running all the time.

And for drivers, except for really old or broken ones, shouldn't be a problem either.

What I do agree on though, is that there might be some kind of program disturbing Bandicam.

You might want to try killing non-critical programs via task manager.
I would recommend using process explorer instead of the windows 10 integrated task manager.

If you are unsure about whether or not a process is critical (necessary), just right click the item and select search online.

By non-critical I mean software like gaming utilities, geforce experience and other stuff that you don't need to have running right now.

I hope I was able to help you,

Uninstall the Skype Preview (or whatever it were called) who came with that Windows update. Not sure if it helps for this particular problem but uninstalling it fixed several other software problems for me.

I'm having the same issue. Sadly, @SweDuck and Bandisoft's advice didn't work; it still crashes no matter what.

Hi Ereshkigal,

Can you take a screenshot and save the captured image file as .JPG through Bandicam?

(If you can't take a screenshot with Bandicam, you have to find the program which is blocking Bandicam.)

While I can take a screenshot, I don't think it saved it. Do screenshots save to the same place as videos?
