'Feature' request: Debugging / Self-test / Log

Wed Dec 21, 2016 7:40 pm

Dear Bandicam developers,

Users will never stop having issues with Bandicam unfortunately, but sometimes it is actually really tough finding them as an outsider.

That is why I would suggest you implement a way for Bandicam to test itself on crashing (when does it crash and maybe why), log events to make reproduction easier and help the user create a forum topic.

Implementing a logging feature can be easy, but it depends on how much information you want to collect.
Make sure though that the log is written in any case (including crashes), e.g. by enclosing the whole code with try and catch.

Having Bandicam test itself can be useful, but won't help with issues that depend on certain contitions to happen.

Helping the user create a forum thread could be useful, as you can decide which information is necessary to add.
I would suggest you ask the user for a short description of their problem and if you are allowed to add their system specifications and stuff.

I hope it helps you.
Best regards,
