Bandicam can get video only 3 hours and 10 min

Wed Feb 15, 2017 6:27 am

Hello. I want to make video of my desktop during 20 hours, but my bandicam stopped after 3 hours and 10 min. What's the problem? And how to resolve it?

Hello Zon7,

It might be a problem with Intel Quick Sync Video codec.
Please uninstall the graphics card driver and install the latest graphics card driver.
If you have recorded with H264(Intel Quick Sync Video), change it to the H264(CPU) and try recording again.

Please let us know the result.
Thank you.

Thank you, but I use virtual machine and can't manage the graphics card driver. What I'll have to do?

Hello Zon7,

In that case, please try recording with H264(CPU) or Xvid and check if the problem still persists.

Thank you.

Oh, no :(( Xvid get me only 7 hours, H264(CPU) - only 3 hours, but I need 20 hours of record.

If I may pop in, have you tried splitting the file up (as opposed to one large file)?
The option is under the General tab, in the "Auto Complete Recording" section (SETTING button).
In here, you can configure Bandicam to create a new file (and continue recording) after either a certain period of time, or a certain file size.
This may assist in recording for long periods of time (it solves many problems with Windows handling large files, the drive handling large files, etc).

I only mention this because I have recorded up to 17 hours; but I utilized the option of splitting the file up into several output files (I have not tried over 20 hours of recording).
Perhaps there are other reasons why you cannot split up your recorded files - but this is just a Suggestion to try... Good luck with it!
