I have to make sound icon in windows not muted.
Also volume of sound recorded is according to level of sound i adjust in windows sound icon.

I didnt use to have that in previous version with windows 7, where i cound record very loud sound in the video while i"m muting windows sound icon to work on something else.

Please advise how to resolve it, thanks

Hello ahmedsamy,

We did some tests on Windows 10 and found the following things.

If you mute the target application sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Application section, the recorded video has no sound.
If you mute the device sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Device section, the recorded video has its original sound.

We hope it helps!

Thank you.

Hello ahmedsamy,

Could you attach the screenshot of the Windows volume mixer panel and the Bandicam Recording settings window?

We look forward to your reply.
Thank you.

Hello ahmedsamy,

Thank you for getting back to us.
We did some more tests on 2 PCs again with Bandicam Screen Recording Mode since we had tested with Bandicam Game Recording Mode.
And we've just found that the result is the same.
If you mute the target application sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Application section, the recorded video has no sound.
If you mute the device sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Device section, the recorded video has its original sound.
If we mute the device volume, all gets muted as you said and we don't hear any sound from PC but we can hear the sound from the recorded video.

We guess the result might depend on the speaker devices or other specs of PC.
In case it doesn't work for you, it is the only way to set the device volume to 5% or so not to interrupt your other tasks.

Thank you.

Hi,
I do have the same issue ahmedsamy, below. Previously on windows 7, I could mute the device and still have the sound recorded. Not anymore with the windows 10, any suggestion?

the PC is a DELL inspiron, using stereo Mix sound card (realtek (R)), from manufacturer: Microsoft

I am unable to reproduce your data below.

Kind regards,

Hello eigel49R,

As we posted before, if you mute the target application sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Application section, the recorded video has no sound.
If you mute the device sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Device section, the recorded video should have its original sound.

Could you please explain how to recreate your issue step by step?

We look forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Hi,
If one mutes the device sound on windows volume mixer panel , device section. It automatically mutes the sound of the target on the application sound (in my case the web browser). Hence it goes back to your case 1 of the post, so there would be no sound recorded.
let me know if this is what you get on your end.

Kind regards,

Hello eigel49R,

We did test once again and just got the same result as before.
If you mute the target application sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Application section, the recorded video has no sound.
If you mute the device sound on Windows volume mixer panel > Device section, the recorded video has its original sound.

Could you please explain how to recreate your issue?
We are also wondering what kind of sound device you are using.
Please attach the screenshot of the Windows volume mixer panel and the Bandicam Recording settings window so that we can investigate further.

Thank you.
