Any tool to calculate MB per minute or GB per hour?

Sun Mar 26, 2017 3:13 am

Hi,

I'm setting up a timer in Bandicam that auto record the music live stream for 10 hours but i need to know how much MB per minute or GB per hour. 90 GB in 10 hour is too heavy and convert video file will take super long time.

I know sharing copyrigted content is illegal, but i only keep it to MYSELF!

Hi BanPurchased,

unfortunately no. there's no way to predict the file size.
You can however do a rough approximation.

Now first things first, you want to record a music stream, yes?
Why do you need to record the video then?
The video aspect makes for a major part of the file size, so why bother recording it in the first place?

Bandicam does not support recording only audio. (This was requested several times, but I guess the developers think it would be too much effort for too few actual use)
I would recommend using something like Audacity instead.

To estimate the recording size, just record a few minutes of music and then estimate the file size.

Code: Select all

10h/few_minutes * filesize = estimated_filesize
I hope I was able to help.
Best regards,
