[Suggestion] Disable Aero While Recording

Fri Apr 13, 2012 11:50 am

Camtasia has a lovely option that, when checked, will automatically disable Windows Aero and then re-enable it as soon as recording stops. Since my Aero typically gets errors and is reverted automatically to Windows Basic (on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit) while recording in Bandicam, I would love to see this option added.

Hello!

Why do you need that option?
We have no idea why this option is needed.

Bandicam, and many other recording programs like it, have complications running alongside Windows Aero. It is generally advised to disable Aero when recording for that reason. Bandicam causes my Aero themes to crash while it is recording and it would be nice if I could just have Bandicam turn Aero off and then re-enable it automatically.

Having the option to disable Aero would help to improve recording performance since it would free up video and system resources that could be used by the game/recording software, rather than by the Windows Glass themes.

Thank you for your detailed explanation.

The option might be useful to improve recording performance.

We will try to add the "Disable Windows Aero while recording" function.

Thank you for suggesting the good idea!
