how to record webcam without crashing

Postby GamablobYT » Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:14 am

some months ago out of nowhere my bandicam started crashing when i hit record and i re installed it millions of times but it never worked so i unchecked the record sound, show webcam display and enhanced something bla bla options and it seemed to work so when i checked the record sound and enhanced bla bla options it was still working but when i checked the show webcam display bandicam again started crashing
so how do i record webcam along with the game video in a single file without crashing bandicam
i know i can use the webcam software to record it in a seperate file and add it in a video editing software but its just too muc work for me to sync the webcam and the sound perfectly

Hello GamablobYT,

Please follow the steps below and try recording again.

1. Uninstall your graphics card driver, and install the latest one.
2. Uninstall your webcam device driver, and install the latest one.
3. Select the H264 (CPU) video codec.

If you still have the same issue, please answer the questions below.
1. Do you have the same issue when you use Screen Recording Mode with webcam overlay?
2. Do you have the same issue when you select the other format on the webcam format selection window?

We look forward to your reply.
Thank you.

Hello GamablobYT,

Sorry for the late response.

It might be a problem with your webcam driver.
Please install the latest version of the webcam driver and try recording again.

If it doesn't seem to help, please let us know your webcam model.

Thank you.

Hello GamablobYT,

1. Can you record your webcam through the 'Device Recording Mode' of Bandicam (https://www.bandicam.com/how-to/video-capture/)?

2. If you can't capture the screen through the 'Device Recording' mode, 1) please disable/uninstall other webcam programs, 2) install a suitable device driver and 3) select another video size at the 'Format' menu.

Hello GamablobYT,

Thank you for your feedback.

Please try recording again after the changes below and let us know the result.

1. Change the option to "Save webcam video as separate file (.mp4)".
