FPS performance question

Is there a significant difference in computer resources required, when recording 24fps or 60fps? Does it actually consume more CPU, GPU or RAM to record 60fps? Besides consuming more size. For example recording 1080p, MotionJPEG, AVI, full size settings. Because i feel no difference, but if there is one, i would downgrade to the lower settings to avoid some lag spikes, because some games/softwares my machine can just barely handle. Asking if going from 60 to 30FPS in any way could lower the possibility of performance caused freezes i sometimes encounter. From my experience it's about the same, but i will take any progress.

Hello ninjablueboy,

Generally speaking, higher fps needs more system resources.

Please refer to the following FAQ page.

Thank you.
