I thought AVI output would be a stop-gap. Nope.
Corrupted.
Spent 3 hours today trying to recover 35 minutes of gameplay that can't be repeated.
Lost about 25% of the recording.
Sorry bandicam. Either RESPOND or I guess I find an alternative. NOT HAPPY!
do you try to record all of your video in one file?
How large is the final file size?
How long is it (HH:MM:SS) approximately?
Using other screen recording program in the past where it was unattended (BSR screen recorder), I found out that it is best to break up the recording (automatically) into smaller pieces because:
1) if the recorder / computer crash, the video is still saved up until the crash point.
2) you could backup to the cloud as additional option (using additional private script)
3) easier to work with smaller files (loads into video player/editor quicker, discard parts you dont want without editing software, etc) You can always join the files (lossless-ly) later using bandicut or other video joiner software as they will all be the same aspect ratio.
4) larger unfinished file increase the chance of corruption.

You have little to gain by recording several hours of video and holding it all in memory, especially such high settings. Save it every x minutes / x MB. 3-10 minute chunks might be good enough, but you will have to experiment. (edit2: to speed up testing, try 15, 20, 30
second increment videos first, replay in your favorite video player to see if there is any loss in quality and the size of the files)
edit: It is not just your system specs that are important, but the limitations of the recording software/editing software/etc.
It is extremely frustrating to have to redo an entire sequence again (that may span several hours).
Also, your specs seem pretty high....I assume you are using SSD of some kind?

OBS I hope will incorporate this . I suppose you can also try to get it coded privately (ability to "auto-save")
