Video got corrupted, how to recover?

Sat May 26, 2018 12:06 am

I am recording gameplay of "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy" and when going back to the main menu, the game froze and Bandicam didn't respond to either the stop/start or the pause hotkeys.

I had to click out of the game, and force-stop recording, then close and reopen the game to keep playing. My problem right now is that apparently the video got corrupted or something, because it won't play in any video player, and it has no metadata under the "video" section. Meaning it's pretty much not recognized as a video, despite having over 4GB of data, and being recognized as an mp4 file.

Is there any way I can recover the video? I have never had a video get corrupted. Also I can't re-record the gameplay, because at the end each finish is counted up in a total, and there's no way of changing that total. And I really need clear video of every single finish.

Hello Denisowator,

You can try Bandifix if your output type is .AVI, but unfortunately we cannot solve the problem for broken .MP4 files at this moment.
We will try to find the solution for your issue in the future.

Thank you.
