Successful hooking but can't record

Mon Jul 02, 2018 9:24 am

- OS: Win7
- GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 280
- Ver: 4.1.4.1413
- Mode: Game Recording Mode
- Target: Etterna, TF2, CS:GO, Reflex

Bdcam is hooking onto games (fps counter visible) but recording just doesn't work. Attempting to record causes an observable dip in frames, meaning that the problem isn't the hotkey either. Attempting to record enough times causes almost all games I have tried (more than the ones I listed as targets) to hard crash.

I have already
-tried safe mode
-tried recording with anti-virus off
-tried disabling sound
-tried a different output folder
-tried older versions
-uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics driver
-ran the target as admin after running bdcam as admin
-used Xvid codec (I've never used anything else)

This has been a recent issue that started after I updated to a newer version about a month ago or so, and since I have been having these issues. Occasionally, the program works without this problem, but even then restarting the game (or trying a different one) causes it to show up again.

Hello ulti,

What happens when you start recording?
Have the green fps numbers on the game screen turned red?
Do you get any error messages?

We look forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Green fps numbers stay green, but as I said, there is a noticeable dip in frames, meaning that *something* is going on when I try to record. No error messages other than the crash message from the game itself after trying multiple times to record.

Hello ulti,

Thank you for getting back to us.
What does the error message from the game say?
Could you attach the screenshot of that?

Thank you.

It's just the standard "X has stopped working" windows message, nothing more.

Hello,

Please uninstall Bandicam and install the latest version of Bandicam(4.1.5) and the graphics card driver.
If it doesn't seem to help, it might be a problem with a copy-protection program or an anti-virus program.
You'd better uninstall copy-protection programs or end suspicious programs from Windows Task Manager.

Also, please let us know if you are able to record the games in windowed mode.

Thank you.
