Best Settings to use based on my PC?

Sat Mar 02, 2019 10:43 am

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on which settings to use for video capture based on my system, type of recording, editing software, etc. I don't know if I'm missing something, but I feel like I don't have my settings configured for optimal performance.

My Specs are:

CPU: Intel i7-7700k @ 4.20GHz (Not Overclocked, though I could)
Primary GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Turbo
Secondary GPU: Zotac GTX 1050 (Dedicated to PhysX, also the card I have selected under NVIDIA NVENC GPU Usage settings)
Memory: 2 x 8 GB DDR4 @2133MHz
Bandicam is installed on my Primary M.2 NVMe SSD with Windows.
Video editing software I use is Adobe Premiere Pro, which does not support Variable Frame-Rate.

Format Settings are set as:

File Type: MP4

Size: Full Size
FPS: 60 ... (Prefer CFR)
Codec: H264 NVIDIA NVENC ... (Rate Control: CBR, GPU Usage: GTX 1050, Keyframe Interval: 150, FourCC code: H264)
Profile: Main
Bitrate: 50000 kbps

Audio Codec: AAC
Bitrate: 192 kpbs
Channels: Stereo
Frequency: 48000 Hz

For the most part I don't really have any issues, but sometimes I have so many dropped frames in CFR that it switches to VFR and I have to put the video through a converter in order to make the video 60 FPS-CFR. I only record gaming videos, edit them in Adobe Premiere Pro and upload them to YouTube. Are there any settings in Bandicam I can change to get better performance at 60 FPS? Would I be better off using the H264 codec with my CPU or is it better to use the GPU video codec? What should my video bitrate be set around? Thanks for any help! If you need more info to assess the situation, I will do my best to fill you in!

Hi SyniZure,

Basically, the default settings are recommended.
To edit with Adobe Premiere, please refer to the following page.

Regarding the fps dropping issue, please refer to the linked page.

Thank you.

50000 kbps is ridiculously huge video bitrate.
