Automatic volume decrease.

Can one help me to find a way to prevent the automatic volume decrease when recording?
Like you start off with the volume at 100% but then if the mic pics up any loud noise or if you talk louder than normal, it decrease the volume automatically, and the only way I can change it back is to unplug and re plug in my microphone.
