1.7.0 no FPS overlay

Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:30 pm

The previous version showed the FPS overlay on games just fine. When I upgraded to 1.7.0, now I no longer get FPS overlay on games. It does work on full-screen YouTube & Vimeo.

• I have "Overlay FPS" turned on, and have tried all 6 positions, using a hotkey to switch positions.
• I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Bandicam 2 times.
• I have re-installed Direct-X end-user runtime.
• Fraps shows FPS overlay, no problem.

Windows 7 64-bit, GeForce 560 Ti, driver version 265.33

Anything else I can try?

It's not the version problem.

Bandicam can provide good FPS recognition when it is run "before the target program"

It is recommended to run the Bandicam program "ahead of your game"

Yes, it was started BEFORE starting my games, every time. In fact, I've never even tried running it after the game was started. So I did test that, and it did not help.

And may not be the version on your end, but here it used to work before 1.7.0, but now it does not.

If you tell me your game name, we will test it.

Thanks in advance.

Not working now, but used to: Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Killing Floor.

Btw, I also tried it with Counter-Strike: Source, and it worked with that one! So I don't know if this helps figure out the problem or not.

Update: Also tried Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, and it worked on that one. Still not showing on the 3 others though.

Hey I figured something out! Version 1.7.2.139 was still not working in previously mentioned games, but Fraps still worked. So I played with some other games... Portal (FPS works) and Portal 2 (FPS does not work).

Then I tried Left 4 Dead -- FPS works... until I turned on AA (anti-aliasing)!!! When any amount of AA was turned on, Bandicam's FPS disappeared. So I went back to my main game Black Ops, and sure enough, disabling AA caused the FPS to work! Turning AA back on, FPS disappeared.

So I hope that helps you figure out what's wrong and you guys can fix it. :)

Hello,

Thank you for your information.

I tried the Left 4 Dead game, and turn on/off the anti-aliasing in the game.
However, I alwasy can see the Bandicam FPS.
I think it is not the anti-aliasing problem.

Just in case..
Did you turn on/off the anti-aliasing in the game or in your graphic card?
Which graphic card do you use?

Best Regards,
Zun

GeForce 560 Ti, always the latest drivers.

I'm turning it on/off in-game. And it is definitely the issue here on my machine. Not sure why, but perhaps it can help.

Anything new on this? Version 1.7.3.149 on both Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 8 64-bit (Developer's Preview), does exactly the same thing. Turning AA on/off in-game always kills the FPS counter.

Have tried several drivers, all same results. Currently using drivers 285.27. This is the only reason I haven't purchased Bandicam yet, btw.

We still haven't made your anti-aliasing problem.

Sorry about the anti-aliasing problem.

We may have to purchase your computer...-.-;
