Bandicam crashes when recording with Mic selected

Mon Feb 01, 2021 6:19 pm

Under Record Settings, Primary Sound Device, if Microphone is "Disabled" Bandicam is able to record the video fine. Of course there is no audio.
If I were to choose (Default Input Device) for Microphone, it will crashes immediately once recording starts.

I tested using another webcam recording software, Debut Video Capture (Trial) version and it is able to record both video and audio properly on my laptop. However I prefer Bandicam as it's video codec supports hardware mode and is more efficient resulting in lower CPU utilization and higher fps.

PS: This is for Bandicam v5.0.1.1799

Hello rs200z,

Please refer to the following FAQ and try recording again.
https://www.bandicam.com/faqs/multiple_sound_recording/.

If it does not seem to help, please attach the screenshots of the Bandicam Recording settings window and Windows Sound settings window.

Thank you.

Ok, I just tested Bandicam on an older Intel based notebook and it is able to record with audio without crashing.
My current laptop is running on AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U processor with Realtek audio

Well, any other suggestions? Or do I need to wait for the next version to fix this bug?

Hello rs200z,

Thank you for your reply.

1. Please uninstall and reinstall your sound driver and try recording again.

2. Please check your antivirus program.

3. Please uncheck the "Enable audio enhancements" option, and try again.

I have tried reinstalling the sound driver but it didn't help.
Is there any way to enable debugging log which can help to shed more light on the crash? Maybe that will help you guys to investigate the issue.

Hello rs200z,

Sorry for the late response.

We are sorry but we do not offer a debugging tool at this moment.
Could you please try recording with Bandicam 5.0.2 and check if the issue still exist?
If you have the same issue, please attach the DxDiag.txt file?
If you don't know how to get a DxDiag.txt file, please follow the 6th step on the page below.
https://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/amd-app/#faq
Also, please let us know which recording mode on Bandicam you used.

Thank you.
