Audio disappears

Hello!
I just found this program after having searched a lot and also tinkering with my own similar program.
I've really gone through a lot trying to find a solution that fits my needs so I was really excited finding this one that seems to do just what I want and is really user friendly as well.
I haven't purchased yet but will definitely do so if my problem gets solved.

The problem I'm having is that for the majority of my video collection that I need to perform cutting for, the audio is not present in the output-file.
So far all of these files have AAC codec.
I viewed the output-audio in an audio-editor and it looked like a 3 second clip, with first 2 seconds being silence, and the third just scrambled noise.

The problem is only present in High-speed mode and not when re encoding.

I uploaded a sample clip to my google drive here. Hoping this can be solved somehow.

Thank you!

Hello oggan,

I don't have a problem playing the file.

You might wanna try a different video player (e.g. VLC or GOM).

If that doesn't work, I'll leave it up to Bandisoft.

Best regards,

Hi oggan,

It's a bug of Bandicut.
The current version of Bandicut doesn't support the High-speed mode for "HE-AAC".
You have to use the Encoding mode to cut this video.

We will try to fix issue in the future.

Thank you very much for your report.

Sorry, I was probably unclear. That's the file before it has been cut with bandicut. Try cutting it and the audio disappears.

Alright. That's good to hear. I managed to solve it by first reencoding the audio only as AAC using ffmpeg, and leaving the video untouched. Works with avidemux as well. This is a fairly quick process and then the video may be cut correctly using bandicut.
Not a big deal to me, especially since I can automate it using ffmpeg.
