Bandicam makes my Battlefield 3 freeze :(

Tue Nov 15, 2011 2:58 am

Hello,

This is the first time I try Bandicam, as some of my friends have told me it is a great program to limit my FPS without having to use vsync.

So I downloaded v1.7.5.166 free from your website, and I set to limit it at 65fps all the time.

However, whenever I enter Battlefield 3, my game freezes and I have to kill the process, if I close Bandicam, I can play fine for hours with no crashes.

What could be causing this issues? My friends say they have no problems at all using Bandicam and Battlefield 3. :(

If it helps, here's my system;

i7 2600k @ 4.8GHz HT OFF
ASUS P8P67 EVO B2
8GB G-Skill Ripjaws X 1600MHz CL7
2x EVGA GTX580 SLI @ stock

I'd really appreciate some help here to fix this, as I'd love to limit my fps somewhere from 60fps to 65fps without having to use vsync. :(

It's been a day now, I'd appreciate a reply.

Edit:

If it helps, I am also using MSI Afterburner to display the temperatures in the on-screen display, but I did try to disable it and use it only on my G15 keyboard, but it would still freeze the game. :(

Thank you! :ugeek:

Hello kcuestag,

We tried to reproduce your problem, but we failed.
We couldn't find any problems with the Battlefield 3.

Some solutions

1. Quit/Disable unnecessary programs including vsync, and then start the Battlefield 3.
=> Does your game freeze?

2. Start Bandicam and choose "Rectangle on a screen capture" mode, and then start the Battlefield 3.
=> Does your game freeze?
=> If your game is OK, please use the Rectangle on a screen capture mode.
=> You may change the video settings of Battlefield 3
- Change the "Full screen" mode to "Window" mode
- Choose "1024*768" video resolutions.
=> See http://www.bandicam.com/product/how_to_ ... op_screen/

'Rectangle on a screen capture' mode is not the best solution for game recording.
But, we have no idea how we can help you...

If someone has the same problem like yours, we will check this issue again.

I am sorry that we couldn't give you a good answer.

Best Regards,
Bandicam

I tried everything, even closing MSI Afterburner's On-Screen feature, but it would still freeze my game. :(

Really desperate, I'd love to limit my fps to something like 65 while playing, so I don't waste so much GPU power and heat.
