Framerate Mismatch on Desktop Recording

Wed Mar 25, 2015 9:46 pm

Bandicam could not record WQHD desktop at 60 FPS. Instead, it came up with 26 FPS and 30 FPS.

Cool. Have you tried emailing tech support? You are posting in a section called "General Discussion." This is for user responses. Tech support comes in occasionally and should NOT be expected to even notice this topic, or at least not for a few days. And I think your vocabulary is scaring off people who may be able to help; I know I wouldn't want to help if I had any ideas.

If you really want to get anything on the move, it would be of great help to someone if they knew anything about your computer, your video settings, your Bandicam settings, etc. You know, the usual troubleshooting stuff.

Frame rate : 30.479 fps
Original frame rate : 60.000 fps
If you still can't get 60 fps, you can't always get constant 60 FPS if your computer isn't good enough.

(We can't increase the FPS on Windows because we use the GDI method for screen capture. You may reduce the screen size or use the 'DirectX/OpenGL window' mode to increase the FPS.)

Please choose the 'Prefer CFR' option and try it again.

You will get constant 60 FPS.

Hi cool_recep.
I got the same problem with the MP4 format setting.
Tried setting 50fps output was 29fps, when setting 30fps output was 26fps.

With the AVI settings there is no problem: set 50 get 50, set 30 get 30.

cool_recep, I'm impressed of the code you have attached - how du you get the code?
I only know how to use Properties on the filename to see the fps.

Cheers, Anja

Recording Target: desktop screen

You can use MediaInfo to get the code. It comes with KLMCP. Thanks for the AVI tip but AVI is like ages old...

Thanks for Mediainfo tip :-) Yes AVI is ages old like me - but I had a job that hurried and my video editing program (PowerDirector) either: could not load the MP4 / if loaded - reported error code 2 and so on. Thats why I tried the AVI profile - and yes, I was not proud of the result...
I don't like the answer you got from the Bandisoft employee:
"Even though you set 60 FPS at the format settings, you can't always get 60 FPS when your computer isn't good enough or your recording target moves slowly."
Especially because I know that my PC can handle heavy video editing and I have the same problem. So maybe it has been a waste of money to buy Bandicam.
Have you tried to contact their support department?
