Hello!

1. Please download the latest graphics card driver, and try it again.

2. Do you have the problem when you use another codec such as XVID, MPEG-1, Motion JPEG?

3. Can you record other games with H.264/MP4.

1. I am already using 15.4 Beta, which is the latest driver. And believe me, before installing it, I have removed everything with DDU.

2. XVID, MPEG-1, Motion JPEG works but these options drop the FPS dramatically.

3. H.264/MP4 crashes. With or without AMD APP acceleration.

We've tried AMD Catalyst 14.12 and 15.4 beta, but we couldn't reproduce the problem with Grand Theft Auto V.

1. You are having the crashing issue not only with "Grand Theft Auto V" but also with "other games", right?

2. Do you have the issue when you choose the .AVI container?

3. Do you have the issue when you use the 'Rectangle on a screen' mode of Bandicam (http://www.bandicam.com/support/how_to_ ... _a_screen/)?

4. Bandicam uses the default SDK which is provided by AMD.
If you have the crashing issue with "H.264 (AMD APP)", uninstall Raptr and your current graphics card driver, and then reinstall the latest graphics card driver.

I have the same issue on GTA V and I uninstalled Raptr. I only tried AMD APP as soon as I hit record it crashes.

If it's like your previous version of Bandicam with BF4 and if you press record before the fps goes from 30-120fps while loading it wouldn't crash. I don't know if this is doing the same thing since it looks like it. You guys fixed that with Bf4 on the latest version of bandicam released on April 13th.

Bandicam did you guys try to record after it's fully loaded and the FPS is at normal amount and not loading 30fps but actual 60 or 120 depending on your set up? Since it did that on your last version with BF4. That might be why it seems to work for you guys.

It records War thunder great with AMD App so I don't see how Raptr is causing problems with it since it worked fine at the time with it present.

I removed Raptr but it still doesn't work, you can't really expect someone to remove catalyst to get it to work it should work.

I am using DXTory but the file sizes are huge with the DXtory codec at 1080p 60fps.

I am having this problem on latest amd drivers with 7970 and 8350.

I have no other overlay software running.

Bandicam causes a crash when using AMD App

Mirillis Action! does not

However, if recording with Xvid it works fine. It is only Amd App. Please fix...

I'm using that software that comes bundled with AMD drivers Raptr it's awesome now as they fixed a lot of issues and they have a separate app just to record and AMD are working with them works perfectly. They even fixed the 1440p issue when downscaling. It can record any game now.

I have raptr installed, it is ok. Lots of problems and lots of bloat. Also has stupid plays.tv spammers whom I despise.

I used to feel the same way about Raptr, give it another go just make sure it's up to date.

I have purchased DXtory, Fraps, Bandicam, Bandicut, D3DGear and my best performer is Raptr for GPU encoding.

PlaysTV is still in beta, Replay records everything automatically unless you turn it off and use it manually and you can capture highlights as well while recording and it has a built in clip cutter for easy sharing to PlaysTV which is awesome once you start following a few people as you get their videos in a feed like Facebook that play automatically.

You can turn off tracking in Raptr in the privacy section too which will stop the app optimising your games.

After my issues with Bandicam on GTAV I asked AMD on Twitter to create something like shadow play because Raptr couldn't record 1440p correctly and would make it pixelated when downscaling to 1080p.

Roy@AMD got me in touch with the VP of engineering at Raptr and the next day he sent me a custom build with the fix! A week later it was released with 4.4.0.

Now it does what I wanted perfectly records DX11 really well with no lag at all. For months I was hopping they would fix the 1440p issue, AMD helped me out there big time.

Raptr told me they are working with AMD to get Mantle recording working working on 1080p properly. I stopped using Mantle to record and I am very happy how DX11 is recording on my 2x 290x's with Raptr specially at 1440p 120hz on all games. This app has made a 180 degree turn for the best IMHO.

I gave it an honest shot, and honestly the performance while recording is nice and its pretty cool when it works. But there's some issues:

Alt tab makes the overlay interface break.
Cannot record microphone into separate track.
A number of features don't work.

With that considered, Raptr has significantly more limits than Bandicam. However, when Bandicam fails to work altogether, then Raptr is a valid and superior alternative.
