Widescreen resolution

Fri Dec 09, 2011 7:44 am

Hey everyone! Maybe this is something simple that I just haven't figured out yet, but is there a way to tell Bandicam to record in any 16:9 or 16:10 resolutions? All the resolutions listed seem to be 4:3. I'm not sure if this is causing my problem, but when I upload a video to Youtube, there's always a black border around it and the video never fills the Youtube frame. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Go to "Video" tab -> under format click "Settings" -> [New window] in "Size" set "Customized" -> set your resolution (for example 1680x1050).

Ah ok, thanks! Will this also fix the Youtube issue?

I don't know, but you can try to record a little video with your resolution (1-2 minutes is enough) and upload to YouTube.

Youtube is optimized on 16:9. Soo 1600x900 is required if you don't want to have black borders.

If you use a rendering software before you upload the file you can fix that: I had a "black frame" around my videos on youtube and I fixed it using an editing/rendering program... I'm not sure if it can be changed in bandicam, I tested various resolutions but always had the black frame around my video...oddly enough only on youtube: when I play my videos on my pc in fullscreen they're fine, after I upload them to youtube they "acquire" the black frame around it, so I think -like you said- that it's more of an issue with youtube than bandicam...that's probably why I could solve it only by using an editing software.

hope this helps!
