Bandicam causing intermittent freezing

Tue Aug 02, 2016 3:30 pm

Before anyone suggests that this is a lag/FPS related issue; this is definitely NOT a lag or FPS related issue. The only solutions or fixes I have been able to find on the internet regarding this issue have been for lag or FPS issues. During gameplay while recording with Bandicam, I notice intermittent freezing every 30 second to 5 minutes of gameplay. Once again, this is not lag, but rather, it is a freezing of the game in which the screen freezes, and approximately 1-3 seconds later (depending on the game) it will unfreeze, but whatever took place in those missing seconds will have been missed by me. For example, I was playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and while shooting at an enemy, my game froze in place leaving me totally defenseless, and when the game unfroze and I could see what was happening, I had died. This is an issue that only happens while using Bandicam, and happens in every game I've played while using Bandicam. When the game is not frozen, it runs smoothly on high settings, just this freezing makes games sometimes unplayable. A quick response would be immensely appreciated. Thanks.

Hello!

Which video codec did you use?

Please try the solutions below and let us know your result.

1. Download the latest version of Bandicam from https://www.bandicam.com/downloads/

2. Click the 'Reset' button (No. 8)

3. Choose the "H264 (CPU)" video codec.

I have followed all the steps provided here, and am now given an entirely new problem. I did not notice any freezing while streaming Halo Wars from my Xbox One to my PC, but upon reviewing the recording I discovered that the video was horribly distorted. The audio quality was perfectly fine, but the video quality was horrendous. I'll post a link of the recorded video below.

UPDATE: I have discovered that the video is horribly distorted while viewing the video stored locally on my computer, but it is fine when uploaded to YouTube. I don't know why this is, perhaps a result of YouTube ironing it out before posting it. Either way, my problem still stands that videos stored locally on my computer are horribly distorted.

I have discovered that the video is horribly distorted while viewing the video stored locally on my computer, but it is fine when uploaded to YouTube.
It must be a problem with the codec or your media player.

Please try VLC media player or POT media player.

VGA : Radeon (TM) RX 480 Graphics
We will support the "H264 (AMD APP)" video codec for RX series on Bandicam 3.2.0 which will be released in a week.
