Nothing but issues

Tue Mar 27, 2012 8:49 pm

PC Spec:

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM
Graphics Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470
Graphics Card 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470

Settings:
Bandicam Version 1.7.7.185
Mode: DirectX / OpenGL window
Audio: Stereo, 48000 Hz Frequency, MPEG-1 L2, 192 kbps Bitrate
Video: 1280 x 720, 50 FPS (Tried on 30 and 15), Quality 80, Codec MPEG-1 VBR
Primary sound driver - Win7 Sound
Secondary Device - Microphone

1. Sound Issue (Crusader Kings 2)

Bandicam generated .avi file has both layers in fine no problems when launched in Windows Media Player with a double click.
As soon as I try to drop the file into Sony Vegas it fails to detect any sound components, equally when dropping into Windows Movie Maker it only detects the Primary sound source.

Edit: Further investigation shows that VLC when playing the clip only hears the Primary track and when looking at the import options on Vegas it can only see 6/10ths of a second of Audio track total. What the heck is this sound codec doing!?

2. Graphics Issue (Shogun 2)

Campaign map graphics are fine, as soon as it attempts to record Battle footage however the video basically takes 1 out of every 40 frames and looks like an epic powerpoint presentaion. It doesnt have any noticeable affect on the actual gameplay so only becomes apparent when you check back the footage later.

I experimented with multiple frame rates, sizes of recording and quality. Nothing makes a differance.

Any assistance that can be offered is appreciated.

Hello,

1. Sound Issue (Crusader Kings 2)
=> You should choose "PCM" audio codec to edit with Sony Vegas
Image
=> Also, check the "Two Sound Mixing" option (Number 6)

2. Graphics Issue (Shogun 2)
=> We don't fully understand your problem. Could you send the video at bandicam@bandisoft.com?

Hey, it seems that changing the settings to what you recommended has resolved both of the issues, I guess it was something to do with the codec on the video side of things. I can still send the clip if you feel it would be of use to you for other purposes, either way thanks alot for the assistance :)
