What is Device/Camera Control/Zoom setting for?

Tue Jun 02, 2020 7:31 am

If you choose "Select Device" from the main menu in Bandicam:

... and then in the "Device Selection" dialog, you click the "Settings" button:

... and then in the Properties dialog, you select the "Camera Control" tab:

There is a "Zoom" setting in that dialog, with a default value of 0, and a slider that allows you to change the value to anything up to 9. But when I change the value for the Zoom setting it doesn't appear to make any difference to the recordings I make. So what is this setting supposed to do?

The zoom feature is working now - if I select "Select Device", then in the "Device Selection" dialog I select "Settings", and on the "Camera Control" tab, I changed the zoom level it zooms in now. Has this recently been fixed by the developers? The setting has always been there but it now works when i try it whereas it didn't work before.

Hello Dave_Rado,

Thank you for your update.
Advanced settings of the webcam are supported by the webcam driver.
Bandicam does not update any related features.
We guess that the driver of your webcam started to support or fixed the zoom function.

Thank you.
