Re: Bandicam Crashing Programs

Here is a fix for crashing soon as you hit record!

Uncheck "Use enhanced capture method (faster, only DirectX 9)" .
It's found under video > record settings > options tab, as of recent versions (2.0.3.674)

Thank you Bandisoft for helping figure this out back and forth in email. :)

Re: Bug report: FPS Limit is stuttering really bad (updated)

Actually I get the same or similar bug. In Skyrim I limit FPS to 32 and it constantly jumps 32, 38, 32, 38, 32, 38, 32 while I stand still... it didn't happen on my past computer which had an older version of Bandicam (probably 1.8.6 or so). I have been using RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) to li...

Re: Pixels cut off in 1366x768 resolution

Just trying to think of a solution for you... maybe it's possible you can record it a higher resolution and then crop it in a video editor later?

Re: Pixels cut off in 1366x768 resolution

I noticed the same thing on my laptop monitor which is that exact resolution. I think some recorders or codecs only work on sizes that are multiples of 8 or 16 or something like that, so maybe Bandicam has that limitation? But I'm curious, does it cut off the pixels, or squish the video by 6 pixels?

Yes, my Skyrim crashes for me soon as I hit record on Bandicam 2.0.2.655
Where can we try the older versions?

Re: The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

Yep I've reformatted/upgraded/downgraded quite a few times since buying Bandicam and the bug has always been there. I wasn't able to test Dxtory because Skyrim has an attitude about most programs recording it directly, and instantly drops the frame rate to half no matter what settings I choose! Alth...

Re: The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

Hey that's the easy way out, but I strongly believe in optimization, Lemonater47. ;) I cleaned up/optimized some 10 year old computers with XP and they turn on faster than some brand new Windows 8 computers with 20x the power. Yeah. Anyway, here is 3 recorders going at 100% gpu with unlimited FPS in...

Re: The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

Hi GameTipsAndMore :) Yes it does sound very correct. But if I am remembering right, Bandicam is the only recorder I've had this problem with, and it's been there at least since bought it in late 2011. I always had great luck with Dxtory myself, and I don't remember it (or any other recorder I've fo...

Re: The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

Hi again Bandisoft. :) I tried your suggestion, but changing priority did nothing because that is CPU related, which is not the problem I am describing. If you can, will you (and anyone willing to try) please try reproducing it by making the GPU (video card) usage max 100% on a game, and record at 3...

Re: The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

That's not it. I could on the other hand limit it to 46 fps in a high fps area, and it will record 30 fps like I told it to. But when the GPU is overworked at 46 fps, it will record maybe what looks like 12 fps. Does that make any sense? I may need to make a video demonstration then.

The cause of dropped frames (2 bugs)

Hello. I've been using Bandicam for a while and noticed the only way to get smooth recordings is to limit my in game FPS (Skyrim) to a stable number. I want to report why many of us are experiencing choppy recordings, because I believe I found the answer. It's actually very simple, but it took deep ...

Re: Unreliable recording (perfect and then SLIDESHOW)

Slideshow meaning very slow video, like recording 1 or 2 fps. I didn't pause, I use gamepad while I play. I recorded the game Skyrim. The video file is gone sorry, it was 2gb anyway. So for example, 0-6 minutes it was perfect 30 fps, then 6:44 in, the video hiccup'd and then turned into 1 or 2 fps f...

Unreliable recording (perfect and then SLIDESHOW)

I was recording a video today and at 6:44 into it, the recording suddenly skipped and went into a slideshow for the rest of the video (22 minute video). I'm disappointed because the recording was going normal and great at first, and I had a funny moment later on that's now slideshow garbage. Audio w...

Re: 1.7.7 Loud sounds = snaps & popping

On MJPEG with 80 quality, 1280x720, I recorded a 24 minute video and it came to 7gb. I know it's a lot but I get it down to like 500mb once I edit and export. As long as I know I'm done editing I can delete the recording and free the space back up if I run low. I only have a 500gb hard drive :D. I t...

Yes #6 is the bad stuttering over time issue... I just tried a 20 minute recording and it's smooth now! :)

Re: 1.7.7 Loud sounds = snaps & popping

I just wanna throw out there that there's programs to extract the audio tracks from a video into each their own wav file. The one I like is gotten by installing DXtory... it adds a right click menu for "Extract Audio Stream". It comes in handy for video editors that don't want to detect all the trac...

Re: 1.7.7 Loud sounds = snaps & popping

Add a new game to the list of poppers, Skyrim. Or, let's just assume it's doing it in most games at this point. I'm waiting to hear a response from Bandisoft.

@cadc: version 11.0 or something. I researched it online, it seemed like a lot of people were in the same boat.
