Massive FPS drops while recording in Wolfenstein: New Order

Thu May 22, 2014 7:58 pm

Hey guys,

i just bought your product and tried to record some footage of Wolfenstein the new order. When i do so, i get a massive fps drop. It drops from 50-60fps to about 16-20 fps. I tried a few different settings and lowered even the ingame graphics to the lowest and 720p but still the same result. I dont own the newest hardware but i think its still a solid machine and should be able to run this smoothly.

My Specs:
Win7 64-Bit
Bandicam: 1.9.5.510
I7-2600k OC to 4.2 GHz
16GB RAM
ATI Radeon 7970 GHz Edition
and 2 Samsung SSD´s on which i run the game and record the video.

Is there anything i can do, to solve this problem or is a preformance loss of up to 75% normal with bandicam? If so, i dont understand what it says on the download page: "Furthermore, Bandicam minimizes CPU usage, it allows streaming video to be captured with a low-performance computer."

Any help please?

Hello!

Have you tried "H.264 (AMD APP)" video and "PCM" audio codec?

yeah i tried that with thief first, but i always got interrupting videos with black sequences or stuttering. in wolfenstein its the same outcome, the game gets unplayable.

This doesn't really depends on recording software. It's more about id software's OpenGL engine which is freakingly buggy and laggy with AMD cards. Don't expect it to be captured normally. I've found only one software which could record it - liteCam.

Still, its interface and compatibility is a complete disaster.
