Recording Lag

Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:54 am

Hi, I recently bought Bandicam as I want to record while playing TF2, I've got a descent machine

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz
Asrock 890GX Extreme3
Sapphire HD 6850
Corsair 4GB DDR3

however, when I record I get lags, the fps is stable on over 60 (most of the time in the 150-200 region) but the game is not as smooth as normal and there's like a sutter while doing things.

is there anything I can do as it's clearly not the fps that's causing the lag but something while recording?

Hello krazko,

There is no perfect answer for the recording lag problem.

Here are some tips for you.

1. Download the latest version of Bandicam and use the default option of Bandicam
http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/

2. I am not sure you have a lag problem or FPS limiting problem.
1) To reduce the lag, see the FAQ below
https://www.bandicam.com/faqs/how_to_re ... recording/

2) If you have a FPS limiting problem, uncheck "Set FPS limit".

3. Disable 'Secondary Sound Device"
Click Settings button under the Video tab of Bandicam, and Disable 'Secondary Sound Device"
