Hello

Recently i noticed when i had recorded some 60 fps Twitch stream that it did not record in 60 fps even though i had changed fps setting in Bandicam to 60. Instead it recorded in 30 fps.

Is this a bug in Bandicam or problem somewhere else?

Anything shown on Twitch (or YouTube, whatsoever) usually won't be what you uploaded.

Huh? Many Twitch streams are 60 fps. I havent uploaded anything. Just recorded live Twitch stream which is 1080p and 60 fps but lately they been recorded under 30 fps even though i chose 60 fps in Bandicam.

Just wondering if problem is in Bandicam or Opera GX browser or my Western Digital hard drive or where.

"Game Recording Mode"?..

Avoid it, use "Screen Recording Mode". (known possibly bugs in "Game Recording Mode")

Note: For your usage, use utilities like youtube-dl for the optimal result.

As "Prefer CFR" doesn't seem to work... with "Use VFR", in "Screen Recording Mode", Bandicam tends to record only when the screen has been told to update its content.

Which means, the recorded clips produced by Bandicam tend to exhibit strong VFR nature.

For your case, either there wasn't enough computing power for the recording process (failed to keep up) or the input source doesn't exhibit the expected refresh rate.

After extensive testing I can confirm the problem you report is valid. See this.

Also, did you use Windows 10 and have "Use enhanced capture method" enabled in Bandicam?

Yes im using Windows 10. I have enhanced capture method turned off because it was causing problems when recording second monitor.

Yes im using Windows 10. I have enhanced capture method turned off because it was causing problems when recording second monitor.
I also performed some testing on Windows 10, and found:

  • If I disable "Use enhanced capture method" there'll be severe stuttering observable on the screen, though no obvious rendering rate change of the input source (DX12 UWP, Forza Horizon 4) as reported by the game itself.

The output recording is of the observed frame rate. (severe stuttering)
  • Enabling "Use enhanced capture method" I have results similar to the testing in Windows 7.
    • Only Test 1 is performed.
    • "Game Recording Mode" is not applicable to Forza Horizon 4. (game self-crash upon hooking attempt detected)
